Esbjerg?!? - Søren Harder. Date of travel: May 2008
As a Dane, I am slightly surprised by this mention. True, Esbjerg is one of the bigger cities in Denmark, but mostly known for industrial fishing and ferries to England. I would suggest the other cities in Denmark. Århus/Aarhus: the second largest, "the city of smiles". A city with a thriving cultural scene, and a very beautiful new art museum. Ålborg/Aalborg: has both high and "low" culture, and is perfect as the starting point for a trip to the beach. Odense: the birth place of Hans Christian Andersen. And of course: Copenhagen.
