I loved Lesvos - Rick and Paula. Date of travel: May 2006
We had a late booking so wasn't expecting much. What a shock! Molivos is an undiscoved diamond if you like somewhere quiet with alot of character that is REAL Greece. Lovely cobbled streets, beautiful views of a village built below castle. Picturesque harbour with great choice of shops and delightful harbour. We liked to go to the pool by the sea at the Olive Press Hotel and then spend evenings at the harbour to see the sunset or moon rise. Favourite restaurant by far was Galliano Restaurant run by a British guy which is at the entrance to the harbour, but also enjoyed some of the taverna's for lunch. We will definitely be going back next year as it was the best holiday we have had in Greece, after visiting maybe a dozen islands we've had a pleasant surprise. Tour Operator: First Choice

The tranquil resort of Sigri on Lesbos was our desination. If it is a sedate holiday with no crowds you want this is the place to come. There are 7 small beaches here gently sloping ito the warm sea, a couple of these cater for naturalists. It has very much a village atmosphere with its white washed houses and is still a working fishing port. The tavernas welcome you more like a friend than a customer and somedays you are invited by the locals to join in the impromptu Greek dancing. After a few glasses of wine you don't mind and are game for anything. Not much else to do except walking viewing the lovely local countryside. We stayed at the Sigri Apartments and Studios which we can thoroughly recommend. We came home refreshed and rejuvinated!! Tour Operator: Direct Greece

We went to Sigri on the island of Lesvos. It is completely unspoilt with a volcanic landscape and a castle. The fishing port is surrounded by whitewashed houses and it is all very picturesque. There is a small beach here that shelves gently into the sea.The evenings revolve around a handfull of tavernas which specialise in fish; we were usually offered a complimentary Ouzo before our meal. We stayed at the Sigri apartments which were very nice and often sat on the balcony having a few drinks. If you want to get away from it all and unwind you will find Sigri difficult to beat.
