I originally planned to spend my 3 week holiday in Bali. But Bali is not the same as it was when I last went there 7 years ago. Yes, Bali is now a more 'happening' place with great restaurants and clubs but I was looking for relaxation and nature. So on the advice of a friend, I headed for Lombok and what a treat. Lombok's night life is nearly non-existent so you have to really be into relaxing by the pool, or walking great beaches, climbing MT Rinjani, diving, biking...all nature-oriented activities. But if that's you , Lombok is the place.
