Dublin
The warm, lively capital city of the Republic of Ireland, Dublin gives visitors a hearty welcome. Irish eyes (and nowadays numerous foreign ones too) smile everywhere on those who come to holiday in Dublin, a city of friendly pubs, lovely parks, lively streets, interesting museums and historic sights. The River Liffey divides the city intomore

It was disgusting - Swandi. Date of travel: Apr 2008
I hated Dublin so bad, I went with my parents. It was more of an adult environment then a teen or child. (Besides the getting drunk part, and hooking up with hot Irish guys!)

Club M in Dublin was amazing - good crowd and very classy. Not a lot to see in terms of sight seeing.
Had a great stay in Dublin - A. Magana. Date of travel: Jan 2008
I was recently in Dublin for two weeks and have to say I enjoyed myself. I went on my own and was in no danger at any time. The police were out there on the streets everyday during my stay. However, there was a down side: so many people in Dublin smoke cigarettes. As a non-smoker, I was miserable while walking down the street and ten people decide to light up! If you're a smoker, then you will have found heaven. If you ever go to Dublin, take advantage of the Dublin Bus Sightseeing Tour that takes you to the major attractions this city has to offer.
Dublin's not expensive and here's why... - dub1. Date of travel: Nov 2007
There's been a lot of unfair talk of Dublin being an expensive capital city. I don't agree, I think it's like any other city where you have to hunt for bargains and listen to local's advice.
Dublin is great - Francesca Jones. Date of travel: Jun 2007
Love Dublin! This was my second visit. Worth getting the Dublin pass which gives you free transport from airport to centre and free entrance to many attractions incl Guiness brewery. Temple Bar is a great area to find somewhere to eat. Grafton Street and Henry Street is great for shopping. Def recommend a visit to the zoo, it's well worth a trip as is a tour on an open top bus.
Dublin - over rated - Pat. Date of travel: Sep 2006
Let me start by saying that Dublin was the dirtiest city I have ever been in. Litter all over the streets. It is also a crime hot spot, tourists are easy prey and I witnessed one robbery while a friend prevented another. No police officer in sight for my entire stay. There is just an uneasy air there. I have been in bigger and more dangerous places but this is not nice. The people there are particularly good at being aggressive and unhelpful - apart from the many immigrants who keep the hotels and bars going. They are great. Dont let Dublin spoil your image of IReland however, the other parts of the country we went to were fantastic. Nothing like Dublin at a all. And finally - I was abused for being British, while my American colleague was on the end of some nasty anti US feeling.
Dublin - not all that great - Andi. Date of travel: Aug 2006
Just back from Dublin and all I can say is "thank God". The place is filthy - fast food wrappers and cigarette butts everywhere. Not to mention the drink induced vomit on the streets. It also doesn't strike me as the safest place in the world - saw 2 muggings in a week and no evidence of any police. Keep your stay in Dublin as short as possible and get out to the rest of the country - the 'real' Ireland. Its amazing.

Dublin is a fantastic city with great, friendly people. Nightlife was good once you got out of the touristy Temble Bar area. Definitely a place I would recommend.

Dublin was great, there is so much to see and do. During the day you can take a city tour on the hop on and off buses; a great way of seeing the city. The tour guides onboard the buses are very informative. There is also the Guinness Storehouse to visit which the tour buses do stop at. There is also the Dublin Castle and Dublin Zoo to visit. There is something for everyone at Dublin a great place to visit Tour Operator: Independant
