• FLORENCE HOLIDAY REVIEWS

Florence
Florence is the true home of classical art, its well worn cobbled streets tramped by the likes of Michelangelo, Botticelli and Leonardo da Vinci who lived and worked here under the patronage of the powerful ruling Medici family. Today those who holiday in Florence are awestruck by the architectural beauty of the city on themore

Great Segway Tour! - Twotravellers. Date of travel: Jul 2008
We had a great Segway tour to start off our Florence experience. The guide did a wonderful job of showing us the historical sights, telling us the history, and getting us oriented to Florence. Of course we were quite lucky to have the special "small group" tour, and we appreciated her flexibility in guiding us to things and places we mentioned we were especially interested in seeing. Fantastic job! Thanks for sharing your beautiful city of Firenze with us! We will be back.

Segway tour – perfect way to see the city! We all had fun and it was great to have the overview in the beginning to get used to the Segway and insure our confidence in driving them. The information shared along the way was interesting and educational. Cooking Class – Absolutely wonderful! The class was organized, the instructor was perfect and made everything flow just right, the recipes and resulting food was perfecto! I would highly recommend this session to anyone. They kept it on time and made the entire experience well worth it. Secret Passage Ways and Ice Cream Tasting – This was a hidden treasure to find out about – I had never heard of these rooms before and walking through them was very interesting. Michael our guide did a great job and it was nice to be part of a small group. The Gelato tasting was good after as well.
Tuscan Cooking Classes - Giada. Date of travel: Feb 2008
Tuscan Cooking Classes
Recently back from an amazing week in Florence. Aside from the art and architecture, the definite highlight was a cooking class I took! With a Tuscan chef (speaking in English!), our class made 5 dishes of the most amazing food I have ever eaten!
Florence - Eileen Thomas. Date of travel: Aug 2006
All roads lead to Florence. The Ufizzi Palace, all the views of the city from the bronze statue of David. The beautiful Duomo (huge and all in Marble) in pink, white and green and a magnificent dome that dominates views of the city. The church of Santa Croce the resting place of Michealangelo and Gallileo and other famous men.
Florence - Sally. Date of travel: Feb 2006
A beautiful city with lots to see and do. Don't miss Michealangelo's David, the Pontevecchio and the Duomo, all must sees! Cafes and bars in the centre can be pricey, well worth tracking down the back street ones which are cheaper and more in keeping with the "real" Florence rather than the tourist Florence.
