Montego Bay
Jamaica’s most popular package-holiday seaside resort, Montego Bay on the island’s north coast has a large coterie of loyal regulars who come back again and again to enjoy the offerings of the place fondly dubbed “MoBay”. Little wonder, because a holiday in Montego Bay is well-nigh perfection, with its miles of stunning beaches, colourful reefs, more

We joined our cruise ship in Montego Bay and spent the middle day of our two week cruise here. We did the Black River trip with a local taxi, check the price before you go and be warned you have to pay 15 dollars each for the river trip, it is not included in the price quoted. When we got back after an excellent trip it was soured by being asked for $80 dollars more than we had been quoted. The trip was worth what we originally agreed and eventurally paid. If you want an excellent gift to take back go into the port shop that sells exotic flowers to go. We paid $10 dollars a box and picked them up the day we left. 24 hours later we undid the box and found each flower individually wrapped. There was a beautiful selection and well worth the money. You do have to order the week before. We bought a box for my mum and hers were just as good. I am sure in England I would have paid 5 times the price for the same flowers.

We travelled to Jamaica in October 2005, for our Wedding. Montego Bay was a totally different way of life to what we expected, they just take everything as it comes and there is no rush. We visited Dunnes River Falls, Dolphin Trip and the Jeep Safari. The Jeep safari was unreal, if you go ask for Vin (brill driver fell a few times but well worth the fall. We are going back this year for my husbands 40th. If you get the chance you should visit Montego Bay, Jamaica Tour Operator: My Travel
