The journey from Montego Bay was an experience. Took about hour and half on a very old but comfortable coach. Air con too. Jamaican driving can be scary but remember they make trip frequently so they do know what they are doing. Very beautiful coast road all the way to negril. Negril itself was small and we only passed through really. West end very narrow roads would be cautious waling along the roads there. We took a trip on a boat Wild Thing which went to Half Moon Bay. A really amazing beach with perfect snorkel space. Never really went far down the beach but will next time. Loads of hagglers but a firm no thanks should be enough. Tour Operator: Airtours

People in Negril are so friendly, never had any fears about going out day or night. A polite "no thank you" to sellers on beach is all that's needed. We made many friends (locals) who remembered us the next year. Going back Jan '08 - can't wait!
