Ojos Negros Hacienda And Resort - Gilberto. Date of travel: Nov 2009
Ojos Negros Hacienda And Resort - Cozy rooms, 20 minutes from the port of Ensenada, excellent service. Rooms have hot water, satellite TV, and coffee maker. You get 2900 acres to roam around in your motorcycle or other vehicles, had to bring my own food though. It's like a camping site, but with cabins that have running hot water, bathroom with all the facilities. Great place, will return again for the Baja 1000.

Weekend in Ensenada, Mexico - Susanne and Paul D. Date of travel: Jan 2008
I live in San Diego and my husband and I just wanted to get away for the weekend. We took the 90 minute drive south into Ensenada, Baja California and ended up staying at a wonderful resort right along the beach. The scenery was amazing and downtown Ensenada has a really festive atmosphere with nightly fiestas and dancing. We also really enjoyed checking out the local markets for curios and relaxing on the clean beaches.

It is a place where one can really relax and get away from the work and everything that you want to get away from. A perfect place to unwind and really friendly people everywhere!

Baja - Chad. Date of travel: Nov 2005
A pair of visits to this land. It's not so California and a lot more Mexico. Starts at Tijuana and runs down to Cabo San Lucas. Beautiful beaches. The Pacific side more drastic with better surfing. The Sea of Cortez side, calm waters for snokelling, and chilling. Lot of Americans in cars, but they are avoidable if you get adventurous. I like heading to the towns where everyone looks at you confused and says 'why?'. Todo Santos is a popular ex-patriot town. Fun, creative feel. Great surfing. Cabo San Lucas is the main hot spot. Lot of youth and debauchery. Americans letting loose. Truly hideous but fascinating. I am American so I can say 'hideous'. All up and down though. Laid back. Whether you are driving, hitch-hiking, sailing, or biking, Baja has some chilling.
