Monte-Carlo
Monte-Carlo is synonymous in most people’s minds with the Principality of Monaco, of which it is the capital city, although because the tiny country on the Mediterranean is completely covered in buildings it is hardly necessary to separate the city from the state itself. Monte Carlo does have some notable man-made attractions, including its Royalmore Palace, but in general the reason for a holiday in Monte-Carlo is to rub shoulders with the international glitterati who congregate here amid the opulence.
