What an experience
After arriving in Maputu we decided the next morning, after a lovely breakfast, to try the market before heading 350km north. When we stopped there about 20 people offered to look after our car which I declined, to see if anything would happen with my trusted Toyota Hilux and as I expected everything was fine when I got back. Inside the market everything was crazy, not a Spar or Woolies at all. Instead it felt like the 50s. Everybody was screaming out specials and the seafood was so fresh some of it was still alive, like the crabs. It was amazing and very cheap, so we stocked up and moved on. Driving was excellent. So much to see and not one stop. But if you see children plaing next to the road you can stop. It is safe and you can order your fresh coconut for 200MT (about 30c) and they will chop off the top with a panga and there you go!
