I visited on easter and it was wonderful, I hope you will have the opportunity to see it as well. We toured with Ultramarin travel in Bucharest which gave us great service during our stay. Went on a five-day Catholic Easter in Bucovina tour that started with a tour of Bucharest on Good Friday, then flew on to Gura Humorului where there was a special Good Friday dinner. On Easter Saturday we visited the Moldovita and Sucevita Monasteries and the Catholic Cathedral of Cacica, then the Cacica Salt Mine. In the evening at 11 o`clock took part in the magical Ressurection service at the Catholic Church. After the service Easter dinner, with red eggs and ham, meat pie and lamb stake, „pasca� and „cozonaci�. Visits to the Voronet and Humor monasteries on Sunday. Accommodation first class all the way. The painted monasteries of Bucovina are not to be missed - the famous fortified monasteries have breathtaking frescoes painted on the outsides and the bright colours provided me with stunning photographic scenes against the snow-covered landscape. Try and chat to the monks and nuns who run them as they are a wealth of information and are extremely helpful and friendly. The rural villages of the area are also delightfully picturesque. Unfortunately there wasn't too much in the way of reliable public transport around the area, but I found hitching was a good option as everyone is very friendly.
