Turkey’s capital, Ankara, is a modern, carefully planned city spread out across several hills, with a large young student population. Hosting a huge diplomatic community, the city has a cosmopolitan air. The old part of town, Ulus, is decidedly eastern in atmosphere and aspect. Few choose to holiday in Ankara, but those who do visitmore are delighted with the number and variety of archaeological sites tucked away in the city, as well as the beautiful parks and exotic bazaars.
