Jersey
Expensive - Roger. Date of travel: Aug 2007
Jersey is a fantastic place with some great bays & beaches. Although there is no VAT added, I failed to see any savings made by this fact. Seafood is just about the best you will find anywhere in the world. Make sure you try the seafood buffet at the Pomme d'Or Hotel in St Hellier. 20 for all you can eat, but make sure you book!
Wonderful - Caroline P. Date of travel: Aug 2007
We had a holiday in Jersey in the summer and loved it. Jersey is a delightful, laid back island with lots to do for families and safe, and everyone seemed very friendly. We rented a car, but the island is so small you could almost walk everywhere! We took the children to Jersey Zoo which is small but the kids loved it and it was good-value. We also took them to the Amaizin Adventure Park which has fantastic activities for all ages - there was lots to do for my 2-year-old and my 5-year-old loved the go-karts. This was also great value for money.

Good sun, sea, sand and siestas. Fun to be had and lovely climate in Jersey even warm in Autumn too. Great shops, parks, relaxing countryside but busy in capital in summertime with many people here.
Wonderful Jersey - S Wearne. Date of travel: Sep 2006
The Channel Islands has a lovely climate which is much warmer than many parts of England. In Jersey there are many Parishes and St Helier is one of the busiest, There is lovely St Brelades Parish in Jersey and Gorey which is a small but historic and pleasant place with small Mount Orguielle Castle here. Jersey has many attractions such as Gerald Durrelle Conservational Trust which is a delightful place to visit with large immaculate Cafeteria and many animals here well kept. There is the small but lovely Shell house, glass church/chapel, many churches, and the historical underground military World War 2 hospital which is very interesting to visit. There is a large busy shopping centre which is very popular in St Helier and other parts of the island you can see many scenic beautiful countryside or seaside and cliffs and see the lovely Jersey Cows/herds and the market in St Helier is lovely too with a delightful glass Victorian room market hall, There are many Art Galleries/Museums here reflecting the history of World War 2 etc and the islands and Jersey Guernsey is the place where you can relax, take your time, sunbathe and watch the world go by or do a lot of shopping or visit the attractions here or the lovely Zoo. Wonderful Jersey is a place I recommend and it is not too far from France only about 15 miles away and not far from England around about 100 miles away.
