• LOS ANGELES HOLIDAY REVIEWS

Los Angeles
A conglomeration of about 80 cities and never-ending suburbs woven into one huge metropolis, Los Angeles covers the full gamut of experiences, from bronzed bikini-clad bodies on beautiful beaches to the dark denizens of Chinatown. The chief attractions for those who holiday in Los Angeles, California’s “City of Angels”, are the movie lots ofmore
LA - Chad. Date of travel: Jan 2008
LA's got a rough reputation, but I dig it. One is, the beaches are nice, not as nice as San Diego, but nice. The climate too. The people...well it's a city so huge that whatever people you want to find you'll find. Venice Beach is my favorite. An eccentric strip with body builders pumping iron, people rolling around on all sorts of wheels with all sorts of clothes, shops with the same strangeness, drum circles on the beach on Tuedays. West LA is fun too. UCLA is there. Good food and music. Oh, and the stand-up comedy in LA is top notch. Unlike any I've seen around the world. Even the amatuers are hilarious. As far a the notorious South Central LA, I recommend the Watts Towers. Towers erected in the middle of the slums, made out of random items. The story behind it was inspiring, but I don't remember it.
Never Use Prime Time Shuttle - Tamara Sanderson. Date of travel: Feb 2006
Even though I paid and had a reservation, Prime Time Shuttle left my family and me stranded at LAX. When we were sitting on the shuttle stop at LAX, several Prime Time Shuttles stopped but said they were not our ride. I called them and gave them my reservation number which they had, but told me there were no vans available. I was in shock and tried to reason with him and he hung up on me. I called back and pleaded for him to at least help us get another ride and that I was traveling with my young daughter. He hung up. No Service, No Help Of Any Kind and After Midnight. After two hours I was able to find another shuttle. I ended up paying for the ride with Prime Time Shuttle AND $100 for the ride we actually took (to Orange County).
