Providing one of the USA’s most entertaining and edifying holiday road-trips, Highway 1 starts in Miami and skips across a string of dozens of coral islands to the southernmost point of the States, the island of Key West. Together the islands are known as the Florida Keys, all offering palm-fringed beaches, emerald lagoons and mysteriousmore mangrove swamps, along with laid-back towns.
