The historic holiday city of Providence in Rhode Island has had an Italian-style makeover in recent years, leaving it with some luxurious new facilities to cater for its ever-growing tourist population. The old has been blended with the new, however, and both visitors on holiday in Providence and local residents can still enjoy the oldmore colonial New England mansions and public buildings dating back to the 17th Century.
