Apartment rental in Flaine - Talisman. Date of travel: Jan 2010
We stayed in an apartment in Flaine, belonging to Home International. Never have we experienced such TERRIBLE service. We were given 1 key (for 5 people) which did not fit the door. When we went back to the office (at night, in the snow) - the answer way - why didn't you try the other door?!! We had to go back to the office the following day to get ther ski rentals which they forgot to attach. But worst of all - all through the week a power drill was drilling all day through the concrete in the apartment above us. HOME INTERNATIONAL didn't seem to care much, their office people hardly know English, the manaager gave me his private number, but never answered or returned my calls. He finally came 45 minutes late (saying to me - Madam, I work, which was to justify his tardiness) to compensate us (16% refund) BEWARE - DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE!

We went to Flaine with a large group including plenty of kids and rented a chalet with cook. The town is right in the middle of the action with easy to access to lifts, restaurants, and amenities. The architecture is quite modern but i liked it. Ski instructors were excellent. Scenery fantastic. Overall, we were really pleased with Flaine.
