• LES ARCS HOLIDAY REVIEWS

Les Arcs
Above the French Alpine town of Bourg-Saint-Maurice lie four glittering resort complexes, collectively known as Les Arcs, but individually numerically named to designate their altitude. The resorts are not pretty, consisting mainly of glass and concrete blocks, but what they lack in charm they make up for in facilities and ski terrain. A holiday inmore

Good skiing, poor nightlife - Jason Barlow. Date of travel: Mar 2007
Went on a ski holiday to Les Arcs in March, it was our first time there. The ski resort is divided into three: Les Arcs 1600, 1800, 1950 (heights above sea level). We stayed in Arc 1950, which is by far the nicest and is closest to the lifts so you can usually ski to your door. The centre is car free with some good local shops and bars. But like most French ski resorts, it lacks the charm or character of Austrian or Swiss villages and the nightlife and apres ski is tame. The skiing above Les Arcs is however really good and suits all standards. We were lucky with the snow and also had a bit of off piste skiing.
