Perama
Where the mountain meets the sea, Perama is a welcomed alternative to the beachfronts encroached by tavernas and main roads. Only a ten-minute drive from Corfu Town, Perama is a quiet and peaceful island town. Snorkelling is a favourite pastime here, the place where George Durrell first discovered Corfu rich underwater marine life. A stringmore of traditional bars and tavernas and some walking opportunities provide an alternative to lazing by the shore.
