AGHIA GALINI (AGIA GALINI) HOLIDAY REVIEWS
Aghia Galini (Agia Galini)
Pretty village - Rory Duke. Date of travel: May 2006
The holiday resort of Aghia Galini (Agia Galini) is on the coast of Crete and looks out over the Mediteranean sea. The village is pretty with quayside tavernas, bars and winding streets. The name Aghia Galini means "Holy peace" in Greek. Traditional white Greek houses sit on the hill above the bustling harbour where there are a number of shops and bars. The beach gets very busy and is made up from quite coarse sand - no good for sand casles. There are better, quieter beaches nearby. The best way to get around is by car, then you can explore the rest of Crete. Tour Operator: Kosmar
