Kardamena and its people are lovely just like the resort - Mr Warburton /Mrs S Jones. Date of travel: Oct 2008
I have never been to Greece let alone Kardamena, but my partner persuaded me to go. After the first week I wanted to come home? But then I settled down with my better half and went to see the sights. It was just breathtaking. When we went to Kos for the second time my partner had been before. Then we found a lovely family bar called Pavlos near the end where the Cleopatra Hotels are. What a good time! I even sang on the karaoke (and got a fan club ahem) I loved it that much in the end we are going back next May. And we met some lovely people and made some lovely friends, especially Terry and Murial from Brom. So to all you lovely people in Kardamena we love you from Terry and Sylvia in Manchester, especially Pavlos Dean and the man we did not get his name. Ps Sylvia enjoyed the blow jobs (cocktails ha ha)

I loved Kardamena - Yvonne Sherrard. Date of travel: Sep 2008
If you got to the harbour, there are lovely restaurants to eat such as Alexanders - Really friendly staff, very large portion sizes. Went back twice in my weeks stay. Foo King Gou- Very nice Chinese restaurant which also sells English, Greek and Thai. It sold the best Chinese chicken curry that I have had. Nemos- Again really nice staff, especially one crazy guy! Had the chicken fajitas, really nice....big portion size. Most people are really friendly, make you feel really welcome with the exception of a few people. The nightlife is great, PRs everywhere on a night especially near the harbour trying to get you into there bar. Many of them doing very similar deals like 3 drinks for 5, with a couple of shots thrown in.....or all you can drink in an hour for 10. There are bar crawls organised by reps that take you round the bars and on to a club in Kardamena. The bars I stayed at were Soho - got 3 cocktails for 5....nice cocktails, CVue - got 6 drinks and 10 shots for 10, really good value, the boss there is crazy!!Calypso - Cocktails for 3 each but really nice cocktails with all the works including sparklers on a night time!! And finally Vision offers you the all you can drink option, really friendly staff, the PRs there made our holiday, I loved them! Kardamena is only small, it only takes you half an hour to walk around but there are many trips you can book (they are a lot cheaper near the harbour than with your rep)to go to other islands or Kos town. I went to Bubble beach which was a bit of a let down, couldn't see any bubbles. The Greek night was fantastic, get to try the food and have a taste of the Greek dancing. Only let down for me on that night is our rep drove off without us so we (5 girls) had to walk ten minutes down a mountain in the pitch black so make sure you get to the coach in plenty of time!!!

Kardamena is amazing! - Nikky Sherrard. Date of travel: Sep 2008
The good points about Kardamena: The Greek people - The majority are very very friendly and most speak very good English. The nightlife - very cheap drinks, lots of special offers. Bar Vision, C Vue and Soho do lots of good deals like all you can drink for an hour and good deals on cocktails. Calypso is a must go to located on the harbour front - it is a small cocktail bar that has an amazing range of cocktails that come with sparklers and ice cream. The ice creams there are pricey but amazing and the Greek couple who run the place are very friendly. Restaurants - All the restaurants have hundreds of meal choices but I would recommend the following - Fu King Gou on the harbour is the best Chinese I have ever been to and you must go there if you fancy an exceptional Chinese. Scala does brilliant Thai food and Nemo and Alexander's (next to each other) has brilliant and reasonably priced food - the service is very friendly too. The beach - Very clean with crystal clear seas. Lots of sun loungers available if you want them but most of them you have to pay for. Greek night - A trip that can be booked through the rep or independent tour guides. The bad points: Small kids trying to sell glow sticks/cow boy hats - Quite pushy and persistent. Bubble Beach trip - Not as good as it sounds on the Internet, only a very few bubbles which smell like egg. However water sports are significantly discounted there so it is worth your while holding out until there to partake in water sports. Shop around before booking trips with the reps as you can often get them cheaper with independent tour operators.
Kardamena is Perfect - P Blaikie. Date of travel: Jun 2008
First mention has to go to Tim - the Irish guy in the top hat! You can't miss him he seems to work everywhere. Persuades you into Loustros Restaurant for great food and then PRs for bars at night (he worked for 3 during the week we stayed but finished at Xpose). Top Guy! Secondly to everyone at 'The Bands' - Phil, Taz, Craig, Maria, Ryan and the PR from Dundee! They bring out the guitars after midnight to fill the void before the clubs get lively and do some great shots (try a mini Guiness!) and you may get a free t-shirt if you are lucky! Then there is Marti from The Kings Arms! Does a great cocktail - Kings Knackers! Claims he has a secret ingredient but I studied that cocktail and for the life of me don't know what it is! Also do the best Sambucca - really hits the spot! At liquid there is Paula who also stays at the Elga! She's wild and has some great banter. As does Kez who can get you free entry to Status! We also loved The Indigo Room for fish bowls, Bar 1960 for good music and football, H20 and Toxic for shots, Mad Club for indie music, Starlight best club around and last but not least Angela's Bar (on the sea front next to McD's) they do great cocktails at the best price in town 3.50!Watch out though some of them have a serious kick! Cant wait to go back to Kos it's brilliant!

Been going to Kardamena for a number of years now and would recommend it to anyone. The people are friendly go out of their way to make sure you have a good holiday. Just got back 28th may 2008 cannot wait to get back. Anyone going for the first time go to the banana beach bar you will get great homemade burgers and a good English breakfast and lots more choice. Your hosts are Paul and Carol lovely people good for a laugh and make you very welcome. I can also recommend you go to Pegasus bar lovely friendly people make lovely milkshake with real ice cream. They have a wide selection of cars to hire from seats to jeeps. Places to eat evening meals Mediterranean Sun, fantastic food great service lovely people. Also Anna's on the beach, ask for Stevie - great waiter. There is lots of others go try for yourself and have a great time.

Karedamena is a lovely place. The Sandra's two Johnnie's show bar is great! 100%. BUt I have been informed that the family are having problems with the police and mare as they are a full family bar and want to continue giving the tourist
the shows they do. The shows are of an excellent quality and the family are the best people I have met in a long time. The police and the mare are trying to to stop the shows. It is the only show bar in Kardamena and it is there for families. I hav spoken to them on this. The family would love the support of all the family and holidaymakers to stop bars like this one getting stopped from providing entertainment so contact them with your support. They are a lovely family and deserve your support.
Friendly Kardamena - Jim & Rita. Date of travel: Sep 2007
Plenty of places to chill out in Kardamena. Also shops and service second to none. Could not be more helpful, great choices of restaurants, etc. Great for young and old.
It's the best place in the world!! - Katie. Date of travel: Aug 2007
I love it in Kardamena, all the people are wicked, Status is the best club apart from Saturday when the foam party is on in Starlight. I'm going back there next season to work. I cant wait!!

Amazing! - Dr X. Date of travel: Aug 2007
The nightlife is unbelievable, from 10pm onwards, the whole island becomes a party zone, the music is fantastic and at midnight the clubs open. There will be promotional people or PRs pestering you all week long to come to Starlight, however, apart from saturday night when the foam party is on, I would strongly recommend going to Status. The music is better and it's a lot better club in general.

Brilliant place - Gaz. Date of travel: Aug 2007
Prices on some drinks are a bit pricey so stay away from the Corona but the shots are great. Also if you're good mates with a PR or someone behind the bar you can get money off or even free shots. My advice is to get there about 4:30 - 5:00am because thats when it gets proper lively.

Town itself a great place for the 18 to 30. Been there done that but it is a lovely place bu definitely would never recommend the hotel to anyone. And as for Skeggy and fish and chips. We are up there with you lot beside the seaside....We were there with all who left reviews and you did a fair bit of moaning to us...

After having returned from this holiday we can report that the only good thing about the holiday was coming home, we have booked up for another in October as we do not feel like we have had a nice holiday at all. The food was terrible, we also found a maggot in the sweetcorn one night which is enough to put anyone off eating there again! All inclusive facilities were none existant. We were told by the staff at the hotel that it is a 2* rating and not the 4* plus that we were expecting and paid for. The staff were rude, felt as if we were putting them out if we even asked for a drink, all drinks are watered down. Entertainment was rubbish, mini disco consisting of the same CD playing for half an hour EVERY night, followed by bingo then some rubbish adult entertainment. All in all I would not recommend this hotel unless you are looking for a 2* rating!!

I absolutely loved Kardamena. At first, was a bit weary about the fact that the music in the bars goes off at midnight but the atmosphere is so good, everyone is dancing round in the streets, it doesn't matter. You get to talk better to a lot more people along Bar street and in the square by the Stone Roses bar and Bar 1960 before moving on to some of the clubs (which do play music past 12) like Starlight, which holds a Hed Kandi night every Friday and Foam Party every Sat and Status. Status was our regular haunt as the music and atmosphere was fab, funky house, R'nB, garage, old Skool, etc. You can get free entry into either of these clubs from loads of PRs outside the bars along Bar street although on big nights in Starlight you have to pay approx 20. If you want some cheese, there's Down Town where you pay 5 but get a free drink. There are other clubs such as My House which is all funky house music. We liked Status so much (especially as it was next street to our hotel) that we didn't make it to My House. The PR guys aren't too bad either. Not too pushy, but do manage to get you in their bars. We loved Patrick in Ultra-Marine and there was Tom & Alan in Vibe. They were all such a laugh!! There are loads of places to eat as well. Most places are along the beach front. We all loved the Fat Olive - best steaks & BBQ chicken around and theres also McD's for your hangover cure. Tasty Corner on bar street does some great baguettes but don't really trust the burgers there. Loved it so much that we have been back less than a week and are already looking to go back in a few weeks. It was FAB!!

Full of PRs but made the holiday really, (got a little annoying) but if you say no they wont hassle you again! Quite a few Albanian gypsies about trying to sell you things but just ignore them! So many bars and restaurants to choose from, Alexandros was lovely, please check out the pub just up from the main square, it's only just opened and it's so relaxing, staff are English and it's perfect in there! I will be back!

We loved Kardamena!! Restaurants definitely Anna's by the beach, wicked service and brill food. FU King Goo was good as well if you want Chinese or Greek! Nightlife was really good but not as good as some other places I've been. The music going off at 12 was slightly annoying but you get used to it. My House and Downtown should definitely be visited! Downtown is good for cheese, really good atmosphere and My House for some proper dance music. Didn't go to Starlight as too far out. Status was good but to be honest didn't think it was much different from anything back home but music was still ok, played lots of up to date things. For trips check out Bubble Beach or sometimes it's caled Paradise Beach. There are bubbles in the sea! Really beautiful and the watersports are good and cheap. wicked holiday overall!

Kardemena is a place that i would advise young adults to go to who is on holiday to have fun. I would not advise families to go because the only thing there is, is day trips and that is it the rest of it is bars, clubs and lots of drunken people. I loved Kardemena so much I am thinking of returning next year to work for 6 months you just cant not the place is just full of laughter.

Must give a mention about Tony's Cuisine Corner. It does the best full English you will have on the island. Evening meals very good also, Foo King Gau on seafront excellent for Chinese & Greek meals, Kos town was manic though, too busy with traffic!

Was a bit aprehensive at first as I had never been on a holiday like this before. But I have to say, it was one of the best holidays I've had. If you want to drink 24/7, you're at the right place. The bar in our hotel was open 24 hours a day, and so was the kitchen, so it was great to come back to at 6am when the clubs had closed! The clubs I would recommend are Mad Club - if you want to dance away to Indie Rock & Roll. Always had a good night in there. Also My House - for proper funky/electro house music. The PRs for this place are fab :) The bar we went in every night was called Trojan Horse bar, right near the taxi rank. Played all the indie classics. A great place to go before hitting mad club. All in all. A great holiday all round. (you start to actually like the PRs!)

I can't fault Kardamena town. It is awesome. Bar street is the best place to go from about 8.30 till 12 when the music stops, then head down to Status unless there is Head Kandi or a foam party on at Starlight. If you go do not miss the foam party, it was the best night of our holiday. Just dont take any fags in your pocket or a black wallet if your weaing white shorts cos it ruins them. Memories is the best place to start off the night if you get enough of you and you all buy a 5 cocktail you can get a free fish bowl and maybe a few shots if you're lucky.

Kardamena is the best resort we have visited, better than Magalluf, Zante and Falariki! We had the time of our lives and met some fantastic people! During the day we mainly stayed by our pool as the atmosphere was great and on the night headed down the bar street, calling at my house before getting to Status, then depending on the level of alcohol intake we went to the Rock Bar! The Rock Bar was on the beach and is 24 hr, so by 7am everyone's in the sea. If you want to get really drunk and quickly get a knackers fish bowl from the Kings Arms, it is lethal! It's only 30 and it is easy to drink! You have to go to the foam party at Starlight, we have never seen one like it before, the foam was up to our waists at the bar and above your head on the dance floor, well worth 20! There's a boat trip called the 'chill out cruise' which takes you to paradise beach where there's a load of watersports. The Flying Fish and the Crazy Sofa were so funny! Status for us was the place to be though we did call at Mad and my house on the way! H20 and bands bar have some gorgeous lads working there so girls it's worth a visit, Crossroads does lovely slush cocktails and the Kings Arms does the legendary knackers! We would recommend Kardamena to any young groups who are looking for a great holiday, superb place, can't wait till next year!

Fantastic nightlife, if that is what you're going for it's available in abundance. If you're not there for the nightlife, you will experience the quiet mornings by the pool and many trips to go on and places to visit. Peter's Kool pool is also in a great place close to the beach, a few minutes walk!

I can't stand the really bad quality of shots and drinks they serve in the bars in Kardamena, very cheap alcohol, I've made the mistake on my first night and had had a few free shots and after that never again. I used to drink in my hotel where I knew what I was drinking. For fresh fish and fillets try Nemo, it is very, very good.

Good points, well there is lots bad. I can't think of any great beach. Good little souvenir shops, we rented quads and travelled to Kos and Kefalos beach.

Kardamena is the best place ever - Fiona Ingham. Date of travel: Jul 2007
I have now been to Kardamena 3 times, I love the place, the people cannot do enough for you, they are so friendly, it's a fairly quiet and relaxed place by day but at night the streets are buzzing, the night life is absolutely fantastic, we stayed in the Cleopatra Superior last year and it was lovely, no faulting the hotel whatsoever they catered for all needs, especially children,we stayed in Ladikos Apartments the year before and they where equally as good. Jonny Ladikos is a little strict but he is a lovely man and will go out of his way to help. My two children are 10 and 17 and they really do love the place, although there isn't much to do for children in Kardamena, mine didn't get bored at all and the short bus ride into Kos Town is well worth it. The atmosphere in Kardamena is just fantastic and I haven't met one person yet that has gone and not booked again for the following year. My parents have been 6 times and are going again in June with my brother and his girlfriend. Kardamena is still full of Greek culture even though there are quite a few british bars. Somebody said there are a lot of touts outside restaurants etc trying to get people in. Yes, there are, but they don't mither and certainly don't put any pressure on you. The people in the shops and bars in Kardamena can't do or give enough to you, it's their livelihood and they don't have to give things away for nothing but they do, especially Phillipos. If you're planning to visit Kardamena then visit Phillipos pool bar. He is one of the nicest people I've met and the atmosphere around his pool is second to none. The Cleopatra Superior had a fantastic pool and great fascilities but we always went to Phillipos pool. What can I say, Kardamena is one of the best or if not the best place I have visited!!! You'll love it. xxx

Kardamena was a laugh! small key though! Made mates with loads of the PR's! Wes, Little John AKA Juice @ Crossroads (go there, they put Haribo cherries in your cocktail!), Chris + Dan @ Ultramarine, we love it there, wicked music, fit PR's, bar dancing and a sexy DJ! Best bar on Bar Street! Vibe also good music, Lovin Brothers Bar, Ryan, Becks + Rich are all yummy! **If you want to get rid of PR's. say you work here, if they say where, make sure you have already thought of a place unlike we did, haha! or run off with one arm extended out the front and say you're walking the dog!** Status was havin it! Not only because fit DJ from Ultramarine is also resident there but they have poles, which we used and abused every night and most people go there because its futher to walk to Starlight, and lets face it, we are all lazy! Jolly Roger also good, but I second what someone else said, get rid of Fashion TV!!!! Dont go to Kos Town, its awful! seriously..... Waterpark is ok, you get bored after an hour though, waste of 22 euros! Best after bar/club food is one opposite Vibe, cant remember what its called, yum anyway! best restaurant is Loustros, best fajitas ive ever had in my life, GO THERE! Scarla and Nemo's also highly recommended! I was on a mission to find waffles with chocolate and cream, found it! Go to JoJo's on the seafront if you share my cravings! Tour Operator: Cosmos

Kardamena was the best place I've been out of all the Raven islands. Can't wait for next year. Couple of my friends worked out there so 4 of us went to see them we had the best time. I love No Name bar and Liquid Bar - they played the best tunes out there. Honey and Suger was a sweat box but it was still good. The beach in Kardamena was lovely apart from the jelly fish. I loved Star Light: met loads of people out there, can't wait for the reunion in Scala in October. Food was lovely. In summary my holiday to Kardamena was the best time of my life. Kardamena was just the best. In the day it's nice to just relax by the pool or on the beach and by night it just gets mad. There are loads bars and a few clubs around. The best bars were Toxic, Chilie Peppers, and the Kings Arms. The best clubs: Status and Starlight, both really good if your looking for a dance and laugh. Anyone going out there hope you have a great time, I know I did. I can't wait to go back later on in the year or next year. Tour Operator: Mytravel

Everything you need - Caspar Wilkie. Date of travel: Jul 2006
Shops & Money - Everything you want is literally round the corner. if u want 2 rent a small vehicle that's round the corner. There's a supermarket rite next to the pool & all the bars & the main strip & beach is about a minutes walk down the road. Everything is dead cheap in Kos. We spent no more than 12 when we ate at a restaurant & about 30 on a nite out (which is every nite!). Spent about 5-10 buyin drinks by pool in the day so u'll probably spend 50-60. So if u plan on doing nothing all day then about 350-360 for a week. But as ur rep will tell u there's plenty 2 do both day & nite. So I'd advise at least 400 4 a week cos u don't want 2 end up like me & only have 7 on the last nite! At the supermarket big bottles of Amstel were about 1 (80p) each & Smirnoff ices/fruit were 1. A massive bottle of Smirnoff vodka (u cud get watermelon, apple, citrus, berry, vanilla) 4 11.95
Things 2 do: We went 2 the water park 4 a day for 20. Banana boating 4 10 & an extra 2 get it filmed & put on DVD which is shown later at nite in Lush Bar. There's loadsa watersports & banana boating is just 1 of many. U can go on a Booze Cruise (playin drinking games and get food) for 40, or take a trip to the Kefalos beach & swim in the lagoon & have a BBQ on the boat for 39. The reps organise bar crawls in both Kardamena and Kos Town. Or take the boat 2 Turkey (20mins ride) 4 a day for 20.
Clubs & Bars: Supposedly the best club on the island is STARLIGHT but it isn't. It's tops 4 the music (dance, house & funky house) but it's 2 over priced: it's 6 to get in, u get a free drink but the drinks r over priced anyway. Its never really jam packed every nite and at about 12 it gets dead. On our last nite we went there after Status & there was about 30 ppl there & its supposed 2 fit hundreds! But I have 2 say 1 of the best nites I had was at Starlight's FOAM PARTY. It was amazing! We decided 2 go last minute after complaining all day that it was 2 expensive but it was well worth the 25. When we got in the foam was up 2 r knees at the door. U NEED 2 WEAR OLD SHOES, ur gud 1s will get wrecked. I read it on a website & on the nite I thought **** it I only stupidly had 1 pair of trainers they aint goin 2 get wrecked! It's only water & soap. how wrong was I! But I wasn't arsed neway. U hav 2 wear JUST ur swimming trunks if ur a lad or a bikini & skirt if ur girl. Only 5 of us lads went with the girls nxtdoor 2 us. We all wore shirts which got drenched the moment we went 2 the dancefloor & 4 once a club put the air con on wen we didn't need it so r wet shirts made us freezing so we took em off & had 2 carry em round all nite which was annoyin. Dnt take nefin else wiv u. If u plan 2 go 2 the foam party get proper dressed at bout 10 & go 2 the bars till bout 11:30 then go back 2 where u stayin & get changed in2 ur swimwear. Take off all ur jewellery and watches & dont take ur wallet. u shud alredy b pissed so u wnt need 2 buy any drinks so u dnt need money coz ur wallet or purse will get wrecked in ur pocket. U'll lose anything else u bring. I found 2 watches & an empty purse jus at me feet so imagine all the other stuff around the club. U'll b 2 pissed 2 realise u dropped sumfin in the foam coz u cnt see neway. It was a top nite ravin 2 songs like born slippy, set u free, let me b ur fantasy, make a move on me, insomnia, all the classics & new 1s r top 2 dance 2. gives u a well gud feelin wen u think that ur on holiday wiv all ur m8s & ur surrounded by foam & strobe lights 2 sum of the best dance songs ever! It's top! All me m8s left early (sad arses) excecpt 1 of me best m8s craig. So me & him jus danced till bout 3:30am & left the club lookin like snowman dancing all the way home! How much have I written 4 foam party?! Anyway Status is alrite, play shit garage & rnb at the beginin of the nite then move on 2 funky house after bout 12ish. Its 1 of the clubs wiv the most girls in (the Starlight reps will promise u loads of girls but there LYIN!) since a lot of the clubs r sausage fests. But no club beats MAD CLUB! It's the size of a bar not a club but there's a gr8 atmospehere coz evry1s shoutin all the indie songs. Gets dead cramped early on but by 2/3am ppl gradually leave leavin more room 2 dance the manc way wiv a beer in hand! We only went 2 those 3 clubs but I heard DOWTOWN plays gud music (Cheesey Classics 80s) but its filled with old women if that's ur thing. I'll sum up the bars coz I'm chattin on now. THE STONE ROSES BAR is by far the best (me best m8 is John Squire's cousin but the bartender didn'0t believe so he didn't giv us free drinks the bastard!) Plays all ur favourite indie songs of course. There's the main strip on the beach front then behind it there's a narrow street packed both sides wiv bars which is top coz it gets crammed at bout 10/11pm (its better than the beachfront!) There's a bar (I fink no name bar) that has a playstation wiv pro on! There's 2 many bars 2 name but a lot of em r top altho they mostly play the same music so as u move down the strip ur hearin the same songs. After a nite out wen u leave a club u can walk 2 ur hotel & get food from all the 24hr places.
Reps & Locals: The reps get so irritatin even on the 1st nite. By the end of the hol u learn 2 block em out. But some literally drag u into their bars! A lot of em r mad & will trick u by sayin u get a free shot wen u go in (but only if u buy a drink) but theyre only doin theyre job. MOST BARS u can get 3 shots & 2 cocktails or 2 beers for β¬5 which is top coz by the time uve spent 20 uve had 8 beers/cocktails & 12 shots which shits on nites out in England! A lot of the locals r poor & will try & sell u straw hats & glow sticks by bangin drums in ur face! Theyre all dicks altho u have 2 pity em coz theyre poor. On r way out of the foam party they came & put hats on r head sayin "FREE" so I walked off wiv it & he stopped me sayin 5 & I sed if its free then I can take it & so he took it off & went but as the other 1 took the hat off me m8 he took his chain wiv it but we didn't even realise till we got back 2 hotel theyre that sneaky but u shudnt mess wiv em coz they supposedly have connections back in turkey!
Got 2 sum it up now coz its 2 long. Basically it was the best week of my life! had such a laugh. It's a really safe place 2! Didn't see 1 fight or any trouble coz evry1s jus there 2 hav a laff. Evrythins near, jus walk everywhere no need 4 stupid taxi fares like here. I advise 2 spend at least 2weeks in Kos coz we had 2 cram evryfin in2 1 week. So take 2weeks & ur can spend the last week relaxin or spread out ur day activities. Although 2 weeks of goin out evry nite & getting hammerd & getting bout 3 hours sleep cud get nackerin. Whatever u do u'll hav a amazing time! Kardamena is a top holiday! Tour Operator: My Travel
Kardamena - Best Place On Earth! - Sunderland Lads. Date of travel: Jul 2006
We stopped for two weeks in Kardamena and my personal favourite place in the town was The Kings Arms pub, I spent more time in here than in any other. We didn't tend to go out until about 10 on a night and our usual route was to head down to Mario's on the sea front, see the PR girl called Stacie, she'll sort you out with some free shots or even a whole free bottle as we got one night! After this we'd head just 2 bars down to the Jolly Roger which is on top of another bar, plays some awesome songs, shame about the fashion tv channel on the tvs all night! After this we'd head into the main bar street, watch out for the PR's because some will physically pick you up to take you in the bar, which is annoying. The most are very friendly. Generally we'd only head into two of the bars in bar street without needing to be persuaded, the first would be the No Name Bar. You'd get a decent sized cocktail and 2 shots of sambuca for β¬5. By this time it's approaching 12 when the music gets turned off but we always catch the end of the music and it's a good job too, some of the songs are brilliant (Plus the bar has Pro Ev 5 on!). After this we'd head up to the Kings Arms, who needs music when you're in this bar, mainly lads here but there's always someone singing! Ask for a Kings Knackers, one of the best drinks ever, costs β¬7 with a couple of shots, but get to know the staff and you might get the deal for β¬5 and its well worth the money because often or not they ask you to tell them when to stop pourin the alcohol in! After this point I don't really remember clubbin that much - too drunk! Status was probably the most frequented and I always enjoyed dancin the night away here! We went to Starlight for their special nights like the Foam Party and when Club Trinity comes to visit, which is well worth the money in my opinion, just dont plan to go to too many of these if you're on a budget! We went to Down Town one night which you get any one drink free with your entry ticket, think it was about β¬5 to get in. Aswell as the night life we booked a package with our Rep on My Travel for β¬115, and in the 2 weeks we got 2 bar crawls in Kardamena, which can be brilliant like it was for us in the first week, or not so good the second, it really just depends who else is on it! We also got a bar crawl in Kos Town which was absolutely tremendous, one of the best nights we had. We also got a booze cruise, with very little booze I may add but I was too hungover and slept the most of it but we did do a little watersport on the Crazy Squarb at paradise beach which was brilliant. We also got a free bar for 2 and a half hours which did get a bit boring at times but we made sure we drank our moneys worth! There was also a day at the Lido Waterpark which again was spoilt for me with an eye infection but I did manage to get on a few of slides. If in full health probably a well worth expense! Eating out-wise, we did this every night! The Golden Palace has a deal where for β¬10 you get any starter and practically any main course and a drink! We took advantage of this twice! Most places have superb food, be wary of Amazon however, for Β£20 euros you get as much as you can eat and drink. In their defence we left after our meal because they allowed us to continue our free drinks when we came back later, the only problem was we couldnt really taste any alcohol in our cocktails so if you want to get drunk stick to the beers! All in all, this was probably the 2 best weeks of my life and I'd love to go back - even to work! Tour Operator: My Travel

Kardamena is everything you want for a blokes or girls holiday. Five of us girls went, n we were all 18. We went for 2 weeks and we didnt wanna leave, it's one of the most friendliest places, everyones just out there to ave a wicked time with your mates, get drunk n go clubbing every night, n to either get p***ed or just chill out during the day. All the bars down by the harbour were great to start off in, coz although the music was load n good, it was more chilled out n gets you in the mood. Without a doubt tho, bar street is the best place in Kos. At our hotel we met 12 Manchester lads which we got mates with over the week. Some of us went out one night n one of the bars gave us a free full bottle of sambucca just for buying the cheapest round. (cnt remeber what it's called, just remeber it has a pole (which we loved) and is at da end of the street) Tango is a quality bar to chill out in! To be honest you wont remeber their names coz most the time you dont even know which ones your going into. The PRs just pick you up n put u in them which is quite a laugh. Fookin goo (think its spelt like that) is a 24 hour chinese, the food is gorgeous, so after clubbing head down there. Starlight/ status without a doubt the best clubs, most nights you can get free tickets down bar street b4 hand unless its a theme night where u can get cheaper tickets. Deffinately go to the foam party at Starlight, we went on both the saturdays n they were the best nights out i had. But status is also good coz its got loads of poles. We went on the Kos town bar crawl which was also wicked. At the start you dont think much of it, but the more you drink the more everyone mixes with each other untill it is like having 50 people out with ya. The games are quite funny. Banana boat and flyfish watersports were wicked, you can get them to make you a dvd of u on the Banana but it werent that great quality but still quite fun. Do the fish bowls. We started with em every nite and they did the trick, n werent that expensive once uve slpit the price. For 2 weeks i spent about Β£750, but a few of my mates got away with just under 600, but that included, booze cruise, water park, bar crawls, all food drink, foam party, watersports and a bit of shopping. Kardamena - something for everyone! - Matthew Daley, Amanda Daley. Date of travel: Jun 2006
Kardamena (pronounced car-dam-in-er) is a great resort, it has something to offer everyone. If you want the beauty of the island in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere stick to May, early June, and late September - if you want to party hard then July and August are the best times for you! Personally we like a bit of nightlife, (in our mid 30's) but we love the quieter side to Kardamena more! Some fantastic restaurants, our top two were Aramis and Nemos, out of this world both of them! We also tried Amazon, which we thought was ok - until we ate somewhere else, and then we realised its not so great - and a false economy! Avli was a very pretty restaurant, romantic! The food was good, but not as nice as we had expected. For a quick snack Tasty Corner is very nice and reasonable. We paid around 40euro for a three course meal for two with one or two drinks. For your trips make sure you book your trips through the travel agents - the reps are really expensive! We loved the Island of Nissyros - if you go there it is well worth paying a few euro more and go on the 'special', the cheaper trip only pays for the boat trip and then you have to pay more for the coach which totals 22euro, the guided tour is 27euro and includes everything, plus our tour guide Mike knew all there was to know about the island, its history etc.. and showed us the small villages, the monastry, etc.. Was our best day out! i would definately recommend trainers or shoes as the crater is not only very hot, but the path down there is steep, uneven and slippery - if you have walking difficulties you will have to stay at the top. Be warned it does smell down there too! We also loved the 4 bay cruise - for this we recommend the Princess Efi boat, which looks a bit like a pirate ship - lovely relaxing day out, has a padded area which is great for stretching out on and catching the sun - but get to the boat early to get a space! The BBQ on the boat is wonderful - really tasty. We also did the sunset cruise on the Princess Efi, was very romantic, and you get a free cocktail too! Was only 7 euro each, take a cardigan or jacket though as it gets chilly. Get the local bus into Kos town its only 2.30 euro, take a map as we got lost! There are lots of ruins etc to go and visit, and we wished we had taken a guided tour of the town - we will do that next time. Highly recommend you get the little green train up to the Asklepion - awesome site, you have to pay to get in, i think it was about 8 euro each, but well worth it! Again not for those with walking difficulties. We also went to Zia for the greek night - this was such a good night, a professional looking evening, with a fabulous buffy style meal served in an outdoor court-yard style restaurant, the music and dancing are excellent, there is free wine and fruit juice and its all you can eat! (food was great!)You also get to see the most beautiful sunset!Take a little extra money with you as you have your photographs taken, this wasnt expensive and is a lovely keepsake of the evening. I was a little shocked on my first evening in Kardamena - we tried to walk down bar street! There are people trying to get you into every single bar, and at first I found them really irritating, but my best tip is go with it! They are all really nice people, and they are just trying to work their way through the summer - most of them are British! We got really friendly with a Millwall supporter in Buddies bar - bearing in mind we are both Hammers this did cause a little friction - but by the end of the week we had the guy singing Bubbles! result! There is a Chelsea supported in there too, but we wont hold it against him as hes a really nice bloke too! Top guys, nice bar, good drinks - cocktails in there blow your head off! Also liked Ultramarine - had a cool guy that worked there that we got on well with - their cocktails are also great! Buddies was our fav though! The only thing I can say that I really got uptight about was the kids that are sent out in the street and try and make you buy there neon bangles. I strongly disagreed with it, but the only advise I can give is say no and mean it - if everyone stopped buying from the kids then their parents wouldnt make them come out to sell the stuff. If you are sucker enough to buy from these children or the 20 or so ladies selling plastic roses then only give them the right money - they disappear VERY fast! Tour Operator: Direct Holidays

Superb Kardamena - Rob, Mary, Rebecca, Rick, Sarah, Craig. Date of travel: Jun 2006
Kardamena has something for almost everyone of all ages. Plenty of souvenier shops, cafes, and bars. The beaches are a bit hit-and-miss as there are some parts with rocks, but if you head out of town south-west there are parts that are rock free, there is also a nudist beach for those brave enough to bare all. If you like a little bit of fishing then try the harbour, loads of fish there, the locals know what they are and how to catch them. There is a bus service to Kos town and it's worth a visit, catch it down the road next to the supermarket. Most shops sell bottled water and it's cheap as chips, drink plenty! Food in most places is good, and excellent value for money though can be a bit samey, ie. chicken, fish, lamb but that's the local cuisine I guess. There is a great pizza parlour that cooks fresh, in a stone oven and they put anything you get in the UK in a cardboard box to shame. We stayed in another location this year in Kardamena and it wasn't half the place Zouboulia is.

If you are wondering where to go on holiday this year then please don't go to Kardamena as I will be incredibly jealous. This place is amazing from everything from the Island, clubbing, eating, beaches and lots & lots of beautiful women!!! I went here for 2 weeks with 8 lads and it was and will be the best 2 weeks of my life. The only downfall is the severe comedown when you get back home. If anyone reads this please give a kiss to my Bulgarian Elena from me x (she's the tiny, pretty one that works in the bars) can't remember which one!! No pictures unfortunately, they're all on my work computer, but I've been layed off lol. Tour Operator: Kosmar (I think)

We really enjoyed Kardamena so much so we booked the day after we came back for 2007. Bar street is good but pr's are a bit annoying and drinks expensive! Status club really good! Our favourite bar was Rumours where there is kareoke every night, with a free shot with every song you sing! Our favourite place for breakfast was Paradise on the beach front! Some good places to eat at night are Aramis, Alexandas, Camelot, Fu King Gou (if you fancy Chinese) and also Paradise is nice for evening meals too! Tour Operator: Kosmar

Undoubtedly the best holiday I've ever had. It was so good that I went back again in August for a week and I'm working out there next year! Everyone is so friendly and the nightlife is absolutely wicked. The weather is gorgeous, so are a lot of the men out there. Girls u will be in your element. Origin Metro and Status are the places to be. If you're in two minds whether to go to Kardamena GO GO GO. U won't regret it and u will have the time of your life. I went with four of my girly mates and would just like to clear up any worries you have about this place! The nightlife is amazing and the music is wicked, definitely gets you in the mood for partaying! Bar street is packed but you don't mind with all the free drinks you get...although you have to get past the PR's first. It was a well good holiday. Me and my mate had our phones nicked out of our apartment but the Kosmar rep was really helpful; and there are sometimes some fights going on which the bouncers don't sort out, but just don't get involved! The food is so so cheap so go out for dinner every nite and then jus get smashed on free shots!! People there are lovely and would definitely go back next year :) When we were there, there was loads more blokes than girls so if you're single you'll love it!! Tour Operator: Kosmar

There were 7 of us form Liverpool that went to Kos on the 21st July 2005 for 2 weeks. We travelled with 18-30 and stayed in Kardamos studios. It was our first girlie holiday so we decided to have the time of our lives (which we did). Kardamena is a great place for first timers. The bars and clubs are great, especially Status and Starlight which play r&b and funky house. The music does go off in the bars at 12 but it doesnβt really bother you because you can just go straight to the clubs, which stay open till 6. I would totally recommend the foam party, which is on a Saturday at Starlight. Its great we all went in bikinis because you get absolutely soaked. Where we stayed I expected it to be an absolute hole but surprisingly it was alright; not the best of places but perfect for what you want on a clubbing holiday. Kardamos studios is situated right by Starlight and only a 5 min walk from the bars so it is perfect to stroll in after a long night. There is a water park in Kos but its not the best of places. It cost only 17 euros which is not a lot of money and it does get you away from the pool. We did have a laugh there though because there were 11 of us including London boys we had met over there so we made the most of the day. (By the way there is only 6 slides there). Anyway I would recommend Kardamena to everyone; its fab and you will not be disappointed. P.S we are all suffering from holiday depression we all want to be back there living the dream on the island of Kos. Sarah x x x x Tour Operator: 18-30

I went with two of my mates, but when we met up with our friends there was 47 of us: you might have seen us, the 47 scousers? Went to Magaluf last year, even though that was amazing, Kardamena was equally boss. Even though I got arrested on my 18th over there we still had a laugh. I would recommend it to anyone. Oh yeah, we were in the Seva most of the time, and the reps there (especially Mario) were great. Tour Operator: 18-30

Love Kardamena!!!!! Got back a week ago and missing it soooo much! Stayed in Seva apartments - best place there in my opinion! 24 hour bar and pool and fantastic people - what more could you ask for? Apartments were basic and fairly clean. We were only ever in there to crash out and recover before the next big night out! Everyone is soooo friendly in Kardamena, the reps (Dan and Mario!!!!), the bar guys, random people you meet on the street.....everyone is so lovely! Great bars - loved Aquamarine (Ben and Chris were fantastic!) and of course, Origin, another 24 hour bar. Starlight was better than Status, although both are good nights out. Look out for the foam parties - had a wicked night when we went! Plenty to do both day and night - would recommend Kardamena to everyone! Tour Operator: 2wentys

I wouldnt recommend a holiday in Kardamena! The town is completely dominated by tourism with no hint of Greek culture. All that is available is clubbing (in sleezy nightclubs) and sitting by the pool. The beachfront watersports are good but expensive. Basically good fun if you go with a group of mates (probably only if you're 17-22) but you might find yourself bored after a couple of days. Tour Operator: thompson

Wanna tell everyone out there that Kardamena is tops for a top holiday. The nitelife is crazy. We were there 2 weeks and out every nite. Bars were great but the music stops at midnite. If u donβt want to be cinderella you can go on to the clubs. Mostly garage and RnB. Starlite and Status were tops with proper decent tunes. Drinks are xpensive but food dirt cheap. Look out for club reps handing out free passes after midnite and you donβt have to pay to get in anywhere.

Kardamena was a beautiful place with gorgeous weather and scenery. Although there was a busy nightlife i was never effected, I thought going there was goin to be a nightmare as i love the peaceful places but i was delightfully surprised as it great. There was a mixture of modern and historic it was fabulous. It never rained once during my two week stay there.

I've been to Kardamena several times now and it is still really fab. Great nightlife, restaurants, beaches. If you fancy a day out of the resort you can get a ferry to Nissyros and experience the volcano. People here are really freindly and will bend over backwards to make your holiday great.

Hi! Kardamena is one of the best places to go, for all ages. We loved it. The locals are so nice, and helpful. There is lots to do, and see. The bars and clubs are great and food is cheap, and good. We are going back again, this time for 2 weeks. Can't wait! So if you have not been yet get yourself there! Tour Operator: thomsons

The 1st lads holiday I went on, and now it certainly won't be the last. I had an awesome time in Kardamena, although the PR's can get pushy, just bag a free drink. BROTHERS BAR was amazing, hi 2 all the staff (and sexy Gemma). The atmosphere at night is unbeatable; every1s out 4 a general good time and you can get talking 2 any random person. One big tip, u must try 3 drinks; DOGS BOLLOX, LIQUID COCAINE AND CHEEKY VIMTO! Although the bars close at 12 (mardy locals), by this time your ready 4 STARLIGHT or STATUS!!!ul love it, trust me!

Loved it so much - Richie Booth. Date of travel: Jul 2004
Went to Kos 4 years ago, and loved it so much, me and some mates are going back again in june, especially for the 3 england group games. Stayed at Lefties last time, but the Seva was the place to be. They were having the indoor pool built last time, so shall be making the best use of that. Starlight and Status were by far the best clubs, but zoom also had its moments of madness. Well cant wait to be out there, see you all in June for 2 weeks Tour Operator: First Choice

Kardamena has a big heart - Alexandra Waud. Date of travel: Jun 2004
I love Kardamena! You might ask how can such a small place have such a big heart? But believe me it's one of the greatest places on the earth and why should you be the ones to miss out?! It's a really great place so any one thinking about going really should consider it. The people who live in Kardamena are lovely. I met some really amazing people while I was out there and they really made my holiday special. During the day it's nice to just chill out on Kardamena's beaches overlooking the clear waters of the Aegean sea - good for getting a tan if it's a sunny day! The pool at the Kris Mari Hotel is also nice. You can also go on a boat trip to other islands surrounding Kardamena. There are a few designer outlets dotted in between gift shops; which made me happy! In the evening there are some wonderful restaurants where you can have dinner. It's at night time though when the town really comes alive. There is a brilliant atmosphere in all the bars and clubs. I'm definitely going back again!!!! Tour Operator: Manos

I am in love with Kardamena. I was there in August with a couple of mates looking for the simple things in life - a nice place to stay, good beach, and lively bars and lots of birds!! We found it all as well as making friends with other Brits who work there. Some of the bars stay open 24 hours so no complaints, but we actually did other stuff besides drink. Hired a scooter for about ten pounds a day and tackled the mountain drive. Then had a wild time on a jet ski on rough day. Back to the bars and the best in the resort is Harleys on the waterfront - cheap booze, good music, gorgeous waitresses. Weβre definitely going back next year. Just wish it could be next week.

Kardamena is the promised land!! - Darren Johnston (and Andrea Hagi-Savva). Date of travel: Jul 2003
I went to Kardamena in 2001 and again in 2002, had a mental time!! Met some great people including my favourite ex ;-) made great friends with the staff at Hello Bar and got royally drunk on Mick Dundee's Beverly Hills ice teas and Traffic Lights. I am desperate to get out there for a season as a PR person or barman.
