The Cyclades group of Greek islands contains two of the most popular: Mykonos and Santorini, and as they become increasingly overrun and commercialised, many are opting to holiday on Paros, which remains affordable and less developed. Paros offers some lovely secluded beaches, a pretty port town and some traditional fishing villages.more
Beautiful Naoussa and great food at Open Garden - Mary. Date of travel: Apr 2010
We have spent 2 weeks in Paros and stayed in Naoussa, a fishing little village, very busy in season, with lots of bars, restaurants and shops... The little harbour was too noisy at night when we went there and preferred restaurants in the little streets. Our best meal we had at a place called "Open Garden",good prices, romantic setting, great food, great music and very friendly people... It is on the street called the river, 5 minutes walk from the bridge following the water and a bit after... Look for it. I think the bus terminal is next to it. The best beaches in Naoussa!!
Very pretty and lovely beaches - Brenda and Ken Brown. Date of travel: Jun 2006
The capital of Paros is Parikia, a lovely old town with white buildings and lots of history. Kind welcoming people and the island was quite empty of tourists in early June. Plenty of good tavernas and bars. Countryside very pretty and some lovely beaches. Paros is well worth the hour and a half ferry trip from Mykonos after flight from UK. We'd highly recommended a holiday to Paros. Tour Operator: Kosmar
