Gili Islands
Among the most sublime holiday spots in Indonesia are the three beautiful Gili Islands off of the west coast of the larger island of Lombok. A heavenly haven of spectacular soft, sandy beaches surrounded by coral reefs, the islands are a paradise for divers and snorkelers. On shore beach bums can sleep off their exertionsmore in bamboo beach bungalows and there are no cars to pollute the air. Big developers are beginning to eye the islands, but paradise is not yet lost here.
