OK as ski resort, we were unlucky with the weather. Courmayeur provides many opportunities for shopping. However the price range is very Milanese. Some observations: Best after ski: Bar American (Fresh fruit drinks and free snacks) Best pizza: Pizzeria Du Tunnel Best restaurant on the slopes. Christiania Best snack bar: Petit Bistro (Cold snacks, savoury and sweet crepes) Best restaurant in town: La Terazza Best fine dining: Villa Novecento (Dress up! Reasonable prices, Set 4 course menu at 40 Euro) Tourist traps to avoid: Pierre Alexis, Expensive for no reason and no ambition of getting people to come back. Find them, fool (or food poison) them and forget them seem to be the motto. The bar at the bus central. Tour Operator: Lion Alpin
