Jewelry Stores in Plaza Caracol, Cancun, MX - Barbara Jane Oriel. Date of travel: Jul 2008
Warning: Don't shop at Sol y Luna, A-2 Jewelers, or Eternus in Cancun. They are thieves. Sell fake Rolex watches. Horrible family.
Cancun was brilliant!! - Stevie P. Date of travel: Jul 2007
Cancun was brilliant, I have never had such a good vacation in my life. The beaches were amazing, the hotel was beautiful and the staff really helpful (special thanks to Ana Paula the concierge, she was great and I eneded up becoming a vacation club memeber, which is actually a good deal there!!!) The nightlife was amazing and the restaurants and food was great. We found some of the more local places to eat on the Internet, sicancun.com, who we also booked the vacation and all the tours with as well. Basically from start to finish everything was perfect!!!
Downtown Cancun - N P. Date of travel: Jun 2007
The bus system was extremely easy to use and very inexpensive. I am older and visited this area with my family and the nightlife was great. Shopping was more expensive than I expected and you must watch the people they will try to cheat you. I did visit downtown everyday and it was an adventure everytime. I would do it again.

Cancun was wicked
There are no bad points of Cancun! 15 of us went over. The best advice I can give... take lots of money if u wanna hav a great time. I took £400 for a week. Even though each club is all you can drink, its $40/£23ish to get in, and if you party hardcore you have to go out each night. REMEMBER to haggle with the taxi drivers, ask you hotel reps to tell you how much you should be paying to get into town, and dont let the taxi dudes screw you over. Boys watch out for trannies, they look like proper girls. Go out with the reps, they take you to the best club on the best night, they will get u in each club, skip the ques, v.i.p areas with personal waiters. Remember to tip the waiters and you get drinks piled on you, if not, you'll find yourself struggling to get drunk, dont tip too much tho, $5-$10. Go on booze crusies, they are mental. Water sports are pretty cool too. Best beach is OASIS, loads of hot girls. We met some wicked girls who we still speak to now on facebook. BEST CLUBS- best club Ive ever been to in my life is COCO BONGOS, -- CITY is the 2nd biggest club in the world, where all top artists play... Ludacris, Fat Joe, Fabulous and Akon were there during our stay. -- BULLDOGS is awsome - - DADDY O'S is supposed to be quite good (we didnt go) - - BASICS is also supposed to be good (we didnt go) it has a moving dancefloor and it rains from the ceiling. - - SENOIR FROGS was a good night becoz it was my bday but it was packed - - CARLOS AND CHARLIES (bar) was absolutely brilliant. Overall our Cancun holiday was amazing. You have to go in springbreak though to get the full potential (March), and all the yanks who are absloute nutters and party animals, but they cant drink like us Brits. You have to go. It is the perfect lads holiday. The American girls love british lads, I had scratch marks all over my back to prove it. GO TO CANCUN!

Great place for partying. So many bars and restaurants. I would recommend going all inclusive as it can be very expensive if you don't! When in Cancun it is well worth the expense of doing a day trip to Xcaret - this is a beautiful ecological park where you can snorkle down underground rivers and river gorges. There is a lagoon and pools full of fish which you can just hop into as is your wont. You'll see the most spectacular wildlife and the evening show is not to be missed. Plenty of opportunities to swim with dolphins if you too - just remember that it is better for the dolphins if you choose an ecologically friendly place to do this as opposed to doing it in an indoor centre somewhere where they dolphins are kept in a pool. Much kinder to do it in the sea (which is beautifully warm and welcoming. We found that we enjoyed downtown Cancun more than the built up concrete jungle that is sold generally. Here you will see real mexicans doing real mexican things. The bars are smaller and more personal and in the town square you may be lucky enough to witness one of the local shows being played out. We also hired a car and visited a cenote which is a pool in a cave with a small hole in the roof which lets in just enough light to see what's in there. You'll find lots of local children who are keen to be your guide at places like this and might find it useful to take a bag of fruit along or a handful of small change as they seem make a living out of looking after visitors. The native Mexican people are fascinating - they can be seen filing in to Church wearing snow white clothes which seems amazing when you see that a lot of them live in grass houses or little sheds with plastic garden furniture to sit on. Please do beware of the odd criminal whilst there - they'll catch you out when you're least expecting it - a friend of mine had a necklace stolen by someone trying to sell him a silver chain - they took his own chain off with the one they put around his neck to try to sell to him. You'll also be offered drugs in plentiful supply - not sure that I would risk the rest of my days at leisure in a Mexican prison but up to you of course! Tour Operator: Thomas Cook

Great time in Cancun! World's number one beach. We picked up a lot of info on Cancun from a web site at www.cancunassist.com that helped us with learning some customs and about the Mexican way of life. They recommended a 2 for 1 discount card with really helped us a lot and we saved on some tours too. Tour Operator: Travelocity

We recently returned from a holiday to Cancun in Mexico, we stayed at the Caribbean Village Hotel and I have to say that this was the best holiday that I have ever been on!!! Cancun has so much to offer, if your looking for a nice romantic evening I would recommend the Lobster/Steak Dinner Cruise, I went with my boyfriend Jamie and it was the most romantic night in my life. If you are looking for a party, then Coco Bongo will blow you away, the stage shows are out of this world. Senor Frogs is also a really great night out. There are lots of beautiful resturants and can honestly say that I never had a bad meal the whole time I was there. (Glazz Chinese Resturants is amazing) . I suggest you to take Mexican Pesos, we took Dollars and we had to get them changed into Pesos. I was also told that if you pay with Dollars you may be charged upto 50% extra. People do kind of expect to be tipped, but to be perfectly honest the service was so good that we didn't mind at all. Make sure you go swimming with the Dolphins, it was amazing. All in all our holiday to Cancun was amazing.
