What a beautiful beach! Umhlanga is fantastic, we stayed a few metres from the beach and loved the humidity and warm water. The sea did get a little rough some days, just strong currents so inexperienced swimmers shouldn't swim out too far. Sometimes there was thunder and lightning in the afternoon follwed by brief rain showers but it just added more to the tropical surroundings.

We loved it at Umhlanga - soooo much fun!! It was our first time to South Africa and we loved it. It reminded me of some of the places we;ve been to in Greece - the same fun resort feel with lovely hotels and beaches (they have shark nets so dont have to worry about being chomped!) and pools to play and swim. Lovely weather the whole time we were there (got burnt ) We went to see the lighthouse did lots of shopping and had some yummy food. My dad went on a deep sea fishing trip and he loved it, but we preferred just to relax on the beach. Had such a great time we want to go back if me mum and dad will let us. Jinny xxx
