Benalmadena
Just two and a half hours flying time from London and with a fantastic year round climate Benalmadena is one of Spain's premier holiday destinations. Visitors to the region enjoy the beaches, Tapas bars and exploring the traditional white-washed Andalusian streets. Benalmadena is well located for trips to Seville, Cadiz and even Tangier which ismore
Benalmadena - Lisa & Robbie. Date of travel: Nov 2010
Lovely place to go for a relaxed holiday, but there are a few mad places to go if thats what you are looking for. Lots of Irish pubs with plenty of characters sitting at the bar. Worth going for a stroll around the marina - have a look at how the other half live....
Benalmadena great for families - Tristan Grocer. Date of travel: Jan 2009
Our family of 5 had a great holiday in Benalmadena in January. It was our first time on the Costa Del Sol and we loved it. The beaches are super, and there were loads of places to eat out; from high end to budget. We stayed in an apartment right near the beach and also hired a car so we could explore a bit more, we even ended up having a day and night in Seville. Brilliant.
Benalmadena Bars - Kelly Barratt. Date of travel: Aug 2007
Some great places to go. Lovely beach. Really enjoyed Pinocchio Bar on the front (upstairs). Cracking views and loads of outside seats. Really nice to have some food and a drink in somewhere that has proper table cloths and nice seating. Well worth a visit. Liquid bar was also good.
Loved Benalmadena Puerto Marina - John. Date of travel: Aug 2007
Loved Puerto Marina in Benalmadena/Torremolinos. It is a nice place to be after the sunset. Fresh and cool even on a hot summer night. Restaurants are good, especially the Pinocho Restaurant, which has a nice terrace. When you’re over with dinner, just switch to the little bar just beside it. Same owner I presume, since similar names. The beaches are great with a lot of Chiringito on the boardwalk. I recommend it.
Good fun holiday, very relaxing - Caroline. Date of travel: Jul 2007
I'm just back from Benalmadena, was there for a week, we stayed at the Minerva Apartments, nice apartments great big pool, I wouldnt recommend these apartments to anyone who isn't very mobile or doesn't like a bit of a walk as are situated uphill. They are a good walk from the beach, 24 hour square, etc, but they were very peaceful. There's a great Chinese place next door to the apartments, three course meal for €10, you won't be able to eat all you get... it's just up the purple steps from the English Rose pub/cafe. We had great fun every night in the 24hr square, lots of pubs with happy hours all night long, don't go to the square too early though as it only comes to life after 12 at night!! Only one thing that annoyed us, BE WARNED the Beer Keller Pub has a scam going on. People come up to you in the street or in pubs and ask you to go on this pub crawl they take €6 off you for your ticket and charge another €15 on the night of the crawl as admission. They tell you you get free into all the pubs and a free drink in every pub but it's just cocktails with no alcohol you get and free shots that you get in every pub every night anyway, (so you dont get anything extra for your money) plus they only go to 3 pubs (hardly much of a pub crawl) and it's over by half eleven, plus it was full of kids, we left after half and hour as we were so itrritated. Be warned, don't fall for their scam, keep your €21 and get drunk yourself with it. Also be careful in Mangos as it's a bit rough, we knew a lad who got beating up by the bouncers in there, and a Spanish girl threw a drink over us cause her male friends were eyeing us up. The best bars there are the Liquid bar, do great cocktails and the staff are lovely, the manager in particular! Also Linickers bar, an English late night disco bar, is brill, great music and great fun... Kia nightclub is only alright, we didn't like it much. Linickers was by far the best...
Suitable for families - Darren Brookes. Date of travel: May 2007
The Benalmadena is excellent for families, me and my parter went late May and its was wild with kids 1000s of them (I've nothing against families). The pool area is very small and it hard to get a quiet minute, even the indoor pool was jamed full, overall 100% for families, if you are a couple wanting a minute to yourselves, pick elsewhere. P.S. The Benalmadena is up a steep hill as well so not suitable for the elderley either.

The Resort has something to offer everybody including a 24 hours square for everybody who loves dancing into the small hours. The Marina has some of the most chiq bars and resturants you will find in spain for those looking for that special night out. The variety of englidh bars gives the family an option to kkep the kids happy. The beaches consists of white sand and blue waters and with the tide being low its ideal for the families.
