Fantastic Nerja - Melissa Day. Date of travel: Jul 2008We loved Nerja- fantastic place to visit. Feels like real Spain. It's no good if you like the big brash loud attraction of larger resorts like Torremonlinos, but for those who want a relaxing slice of real Spain, with fantastic beaches, beautiful scenery and a huge array of shops, restaurants and tapas bars, look no further. It's great for those who want a quieter pace so fabulous for parents with children, etc. We stayed in a gorgeous villa between Nerja and Frigiliana, which is a postcard perfect Spanish village with whitewashed houses draped in the most gorgeous flowers and plants. Well worth a visit ! The food is very reasonably priced and very good quality and it's only a 45 min drive from Malaga airport. I've been to Spain several times and this was my favourite destination.
Holiday in Nerja - Kathy Driscoll. Date of travel: Jul 2007Just got back from two lovely weeks in fabulous Nerja. I stayed in a private apartment in Verano Azul through holidaycosta and it was great. Modern with all the mod cons. Only 10min walk to town or beach. I took a jeep tour in Nerja witha guy called Michael from Life Adventure - What a laugh! I had such a good time with my friends and would thoroughly recommend it. www.lifeadventure.es The nightlife is good with plenty of choice - definately would come back.
Torrox was a building site - Duncan. Date of travel: Jul 2007
Torrox is 10km west of Nerja and seems to be an area newly opened to tourists. Restaurants were ok on the main road through town but nothing special. The sea front was pretty but not a lot to do except eat pub grub. No childrens activities except a pedalo stand. A flea market once a week on the street outside the hotel. A few clothes and trinket shops and a supermarket. There was also a market on the promenade every night selling souvenirs.
