Arenal D'en Castell
Spilling down steep hills to a U-shaped bay on the northern shores of the island of Minorca, Arenal den Castell is a serene holiday haven for a family getaway, unsullied by all-night party animals or drunken revelers. The warm, shallow waters on the beautiful beaches offer watersports opportunities, and there is a good golf coursemore
Wonderful resort - Alexis and Tipper Rodney. Date of travel: Feb 2009
Really nice resort, no lager louts, but perhaps too quiet for teenagers. Me and my husband (we're in our forties) had a week-long holiday here and didn't want to leave by the end. Most of the entertainment in the resort is at the bars. There's an Irish, English, Aussie and Spanish bar and also a handful of restaurants. The beaches are magnificent, white sand and clear blue sea, we did some snorkeling and saw some amazing fish.

Brilliant holiday! Lovely resort. No larger louts, perfect for families with young kids. Food wise there's something for everyone and the bars are great too. The Irish bar was one of our faves. Beaches are safe and clean and there's some super snorkeling spots - although watch out for the jelly fish!
Peaceful holiday in Arenal d'en Castell - Angie and Dylan and kids. Date of travel: Aug 2006
Lovely and relaxing time in Arenal d'en Castell. Trek back up from the beach at the end of the day is not recommended for those who dont like walking but what a lovely beach - relax, read a book, swim in the warm water. Fortunately my husband was able to carry the stroller up the stairs. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, we were here to unwind, not club til dawn so perfect. We hired a car for the day and did some exploring whixh was an excellent idea and after hot day in the car, niggley kids enjoyed a dip. Had a lovely holiday. Found some lovely little restaurants too. Family friendly. Lovely sights and sounds around or doing nothing on the beach; something for everyone.
Resort good, if very quiet. - Jane Elliott. Date of travel: Jun 2006
Quiet, not much to do a hire car is an essential, resort is very hilly, so no good at all to anyone with walking difficulties.Lovely beach but a bit of ahike to get to.Also sunbeds expensive!
Great - Gemma Cowley. Date of travel: Apr 2006
Our vacation in Arenal d'en Castell was superb. The service was much better than expected and there were plenty of activities to keep us occupied. I didn't mind the quieter aspect to it as I understand it can get a lot busier during the popular season. Altogether I great holiday though.
