Los Cristianos
Alongside the glittering resort of Playa de las Americas on the island of Tenerife is Los Cristianos, no less popular than its glitzy neighbour but offering a relatively quiet accommodation alternative in its multitude of hotels and apartment blocks, spreading out from a working harbour and a pristine, man-made main beach. Los Cristianos - J Law. Date of travel: Mar 2008
Los Cristianos is a busy holiday resort, but caters for the family more than its' neighbour, Las Americas, which is walkable, or just a 10 minute bus ride away. Los Cristianos has some fabulous restaurants and bars.
Los Cristianos is a grand place to holiday - John and Eileen Needham. Date of travel: Nov 2007
We just like the the relative quietness (compared with Las Americas) and there are plenty of friendly and cheap retaurants that look out onto the harbour area.
Los Cristianos - Derek. Date of travel: Sep 2007
Los Christianos is a lovely little spot with plenty to do. Very nice beaches and loads of bars and good resterants. Try the Old English Tea Rooms down the road at the Cristian Suir.
Nice, quiet, friendly - Anthony. Date of travel: Apr 2007
Los Christianos is more of a resort for families. It's nice and quiet. The main place for young people is Las Americas with all the clubs and top bars.
Great for families!! - Kay. Date of travel: Sep 2006
Los Cristianos is lively but not OTT, as Playa Americas is 10 mins walk away but its a great atmosphere. It is a tiny bit Blackpool in the sun but hey the beer is 1 euro at happy hour but no idiotic drunks, cheap food which is great and the market was good can't remeber which day it was but ask your rep. We went to the greedy pig nearly everyday for breakfast which was great and also there is a chinese buffet on the sea front which was excellent fresh crispy duck etc for about 2.50. We will be coming back on holiday to Los Cristianos again soon!!! They also do great electronics, as long as u know what u want. My husband is really into photography and got loads of gear/lens etc at a fraction of the price. The only downside is the time share scam people they will try to lure u with free gifts and scratch cards - do not be fooled u will get nothing and is a complete waste of time. Luckily they are not allowed to approach u if u have young children so we were ok but my sister got caught but politely told them to go away.
Wouldnt return - Emma & Andy. Date of travel: Aug 2005
We found that Los Cristianos was just like a sunny Blackpool (when we had some sun!!!). We found ourselves wandering around the place trying to find something of interest - there wasn't any!! We wouldn't go back again!! Tour Operator: Thomas Cook
