I work at The Palace hotel, which is 125 years old and stands on the sunniest plateau of the Jungfrau Region, and was the first hotel here. It is only a 3 minute walk from the small mountain train station of Mürren, directly next to ski slopes and hiking paths. The hotel is run with a personal touch, is classical and modern at the same time. The rooms are modern, bright and elegant. The best is the view; from all windows there is a vista of spectacular mountain landscapes. Activites for guests here are hiking, tennis, mountain climbing, paragliding in summer or skiing, snowboarding, carving, ice-skating, cross-country skiing, curling or sledding in Winter. The hotel is connected to the AKSZ Alpine Spa and Sports Centres and the tourist information centre of Mürren, and has an Olympic swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna/steam bath, massage, solarium, gym and squash courts. There are several restaurants with local and international cuisine, a bar and disco. Guests should not miss an excursion to the Schilthorn, that gained world renown in the James Bond film “In her Majesty’s Secret Service�, where the views will take your breath away.
