Cornwall
Pick your places! - Lucille Parker. Date of travel: Apr 2008
Having just spent a few days exploring southern Cornwall, I would advise visitors to stay away from the "tourist traps" and go off the beaten track to appreciate the pretty spots. Having said that, I must say I loved Mousehole - really cute and pretty, but crowded with visitors at weekends. Land's End is a nightmare - it is almost a theme park and totally over-commercialised. Disappointing. Look for a little village and cove called Levorna (between Mousehole and Land's End) - it is adorable and how I imagined that Cornwall would be. If you are a beer-drinker, head for Helston to The Blue Anchor Inn, which is one of only 4 traditional brew-pubs left in Britain - their Spingo ales are strong stuff, but very distinctive, and the place is full of interesting stories with a history going back 600 years (the locals are keen to tell you all about it!).

I loved Cornwall
Cornwall is a beautful county in SW England and the south is particularly unspoilt. Nearby is the Eden Project, the Minack Theatre and also the Tate St Ives. Well worth a visit. Tour Operator: Global Artichoke

This was our second visit to Cornwall but our first time in a cottage. It was one of the best holidays we have had. The cottage was on a 100 acre working farm with cows, sheep, chicken, a horse and the working sheep dogs. It was lovely, we was far enough in land not to be crowded but only 4 miles from Mevagissay a small working harbor. We would recommend it to anybody. The owners are very welcoming and happy to help if you have any problems. If you are visiting Cornwall it’s a must to go to Kynance Cove, it’s the most beautiful place I have ever been. Mevagissay is lovely has loads of shops to buy goodies. We went out on a 4 hour fishing trip we had a great time, we also went on a 1 hour viewing trip/fishing great fun for all ages to see the smile on the young children’s faces when they had caught a fish. Anybody thinking about visiting Cornwall, do it you will have a great time there something to do for all ages surfing, gardens, sandy beaches and attractions we will be coming back for many years to come.
