Alice Springs Climate and Weather

Alice Springs has a dry, desert climate, with hot, dusty weather most of the year. Summers (December to February) can be scorching, with temperatures often climbing above 104°F (40°C). Winters (June to August) are much milder, with warm, sunny days, but nights can get very chilly, sometimes dropping below 32°F (0°C).

Rain is rare and unpredictable, usually falling as short, heavy storms in the summer, with the total yearly rainfall around 11 inches (285 mm).

The best time to visit is during the cooler months, from April to September, when the weather is more comfortable and perfect for outdoor activities.
