Climate in Tunisia
Tunisia's northern coast enjoys a Mediterranean climate, while inland areas range from semi-desert to desert. Coastal summer highs average around 91°F (33°C), with mild, rainy winters averaging 64°F (18°C); inland desert regions get hotter in summer, with desert winds causing temperature spikes, lower humidity, and occasional sandstorms that can reach coastal and mountainous areas. From June to September, temperatures often exceed 104°F (40°C). While summer is popular with visitors, many prefer the milder months from October to May, especially spring (March to May), when wildflowers bloom across the countryside.
