Manila Climate and Weather

Manila has warm and humid weather all year long, with temperatures staying pretty consistent thanks to its location near the equator. The temperature rarely drops below 68°F (20°C) or goes above 100°F (38°C). The coolest months are from November to February, while May is the hottest month, with an average temperature of 83°F (28°C). The rainy season lasts from June to October, though some rain can happen throughout the year. The driest period is from December to May.

During the rainy season, visitors can expect short, heavy showers followed by plenty of sunshine. Some people actually prefer visiting during this time because it's cheaper, less crowded, and the rain can feel refreshing. However, typhoons can occur between June and September, sometimes causing flooding. Thankfully, sea breezes help make the hot and humid weather more bearable for much of the year.

Manila does have high levels of air pollution, and smog is common. The most popular time to visit is between January and May, when the weather is driest. But really, Manila is a great place to visit year-round.
