Northwest Costa Rica Climate and Weather

The Northwest Pacific region of Costa Rica has a tropical monsoon climate and is among the driest parts of the country. The coastal areas experience fairly consistent temperatures throughout the year, with daytime highs typically around 89°F (32°C). The dry season, which runs from December to April, is the hottest time of year, with little to no rainfall and plenty of sunshine. Conditions begin to shift in May as the rainy season sets in, though July and August often see a short dry spell. The most pleasant weather generally occurs from December through April, when skies are clear and humidity is lower.
