Climate in Algeria

Algeria features a typical Mediterranean climate along the coast, with mild, wet winters and hot, dry summers. Further inland, temperatures become more extreme; winters on the High Plateau can be very cold, while summers grow increasingly arid as one approaches the Sahara. The hot, dusty sirocco wind occasionally sweeps through in summer, making conditions particularly uncomfortable.
