Climate in Armenia
Armenia has a continental climate, with hot summers and cold winters, influenced by its high elevation. Higher regions are cooler and receive more rain and snow than the lowlands.
Summer, from June to September, is the most popular time to visit. In Yerevan, temperatures usually range from 72°F (22°C) to 93°F (34°C), and can occasionally reach 104°F (40°C). Spring and autumn are ideal for travellers who prefer milder weather and scenic landscapes.
Winters in Yerevan are cold but not extreme, with average lows around 23°F (-5°C). The mountains, however, can get much colder and snowier.
Rainfall is generally low, especially in the Ararat plain and Yerevan, though mountain areas see more precipitation, particularly in spring and early summer.
