The airport is situated about 12 to 13 miles (approximately 20km) from central Baku.

Getting to the city

The Aero Express bus connects the airport with the city centre, and official taxis are available outside the terminal buildings. Travellers are advised to use the designated taxi stands rather than accept offers from independent drivers inside the arrivals area. Many hotels can also arrange private transfers on request.
