Getting to the city

Taxis, buses and ride-hailing services are available to take passengers to Kuwait City. Taxis are available 24 hours a day and are a fast option, though fares are relatively high. It's advisable to book at the official taxi counter in the Arrivals area to avoid overcharging. Ride-hailing apps such as Careem, Wiyak, Citylink, and Rove also operate at the airport, with designated pickup points located just outside the terminals. Public buses, operated by CityBus and KPTC, run from approximately 4.30am to 11.45pm. While they can be crowded, they offer a more affordable option, and the trip to the city centre takes roughly 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic conditions.

A car rental desk is located in the Arrivals Hall and includes companies such as Avis, Budget and Hertz.

Airport Taxis

There are multiple licensed taxi companies operating from the airport. It's strongly recommended that passengers use the official taxi booking counter in Arrivals, as some drivers may overcharge if hired informally.

Facilities

First-class lounges at Kuwait International Airport offer five-star catering, children's play areas, hot shower facilities, and high-speed internet access. The Commercial Centre Complex, which is directly connected to both the Arrivals and Departures halls, includes duty-free shops, well-known retail outlets, and a variety of food and beverage options. Other available services include banks, a help desk, and accessible facilities for passengers with disabilities.

Parking

There's a multi-storey car park adjacent to the mall and a street-level car park outside the Arrivals Hall. Both short- and long-term parking options are available. A valet parking service is also available, particularly at Terminal 4, for an additional fee.
