Climate in Kuwait

Kuwait has a classic desert climate, with scorching summers, mild winters and very little rainfall throughout the year. Summers (May to October) are long, intensely hot and dry; daytime temperatures often soar above 113°F (45°C), and it's not unusual for them to reach as high as 122°F (50°C), especially in July and August. Rain is virtually non-existent during this period, and travellers should be prepared for extreme heat.

Winters (December to February) are short and much more comfortable, with daytime highs around 64 to 72°F (18 to 22°C) and cooler nights that can dip below 50°F (10°C), particularly in the desert areas. This is also when Kuwait sees the majority of its limited rainfall, though showers are usually light and infrequent.

Humidity levels are generally low, but coastal areas can feel more humid, especially during the late summer and early winter months. The cooler months from November to March offer the most pleasant weather for sightseeing and outdoor activities.
