Climate in Ukraine
Ukraine has a temperate continental climate, with cold winters and warm summers across most of the country. Autumn and winter are often cloudy, and snowfall is common from November to March, when average winter temperatures range from 17°F (-8°C) to 35°F (2°C), and conditions inland are colder. Summers are short but can be quite hot, particularly in the south, with temperatures ranging from 64°F (18°C) to 81°F (27°C) in Odessa. The southern coast of Crimea enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with milder winters and warmer, sunnier summers. Rainfall is moderate overall, occurring more frequently in the west and north, especially in the Carpathian region, often in the form of showers or summer thunderstorms.
