Hobart Climate and Weather
Hobart enjoys a mild, temperate oceanic climate with four distinct seasons. By Australian standards, it isn't particularly hot or sunny, averaging around six hours of sunshine each day. Snow rarely falls in the city itself, but nearby Mount Wellington is often capped with snow in winter. Between June and August, winter temperatures generally range from 40°F (4°C) to 55°F (13°C), while summer, from December to February, sees averages of 51°F (10°C) to 71°F (21°C). Rain is fairly evenly spread throughout the year, with roughly 10 to 15 rainy days each month. The warm, relatively dry months of January and February are ideal for visiting.
